The DGT test is far more accurate and reliable for assessing P availability to crops than Colwell, Olsen, Bray or any of the other currently used methods.

Be one of the first farmers in Australia to access this exciting new phosphorus test.

The GRDC is keen to see the DGT test become the standard phosphorus test across  Australia and it has already been calibrated for wheat, barley, peas, chick peas and canola.

APAL has recieved permission from the GRDC to offer growers trial DGT analysis for the 2012 season prior to full commercialisation of the method.

The DGT phosphorus test (Diffusive Gradients in Thin-films) has been developed by Dr Sean Mason who has had a long association with APAL.  The test mimics plant roots in the way they remove phosphorus from the soil solutuion and is not influenced by soil type.
