Lifetime Ewe Management – hands on practical learning
LifeTime Ewe Management is a hands-on Meat and Livestock Australia / Australian Wool Innovation endorsed course for sheep producers aiming to maximise their lambing percentage. It has Farm Ready support and includes six one day meetings spread over the entire reproductive cycle starting after weaning. A group consists of five to six producers in a region and each property is visited during each meeting to assess ewe condition score and respective pastures.
The course provides an ideal opportunity to hone ewe and pasture assessment skills while learning the nutritional and management principles that drive reproductive performance. LTEM is run over six to eight months to enable the variation in ewe and pasture assessment with different seasons and pregnancy status to be monitored.
Farm Ready contributes up to $1235 in course fees, with producers needing to contribute $665 to attend the six meetings.
