Farm profit is primarily determined by the grazier’s approach to soil, plant and animal nutrition and grazing management. The most cost effective nutrition for plant and animal is that derived by natural organic processes in the soil. This paper will highlight how a grazier can optimise profit through an intelligent approach to whole farm nutrition.

This paper was presented by Dr Colin Trengove at the annual conference of the Australian Veterinary Association May 2011.
